The Red Wings have called two very different downtown Detroit buildings home. Olympia Stadium hosted the team for decades before the Red Wings closed it out on December 15, 1979, and moved into the newly built Joe Louis Arena twelve days later. "The Joe" held four Red Wings Stanley Cup championships (1997, 1998, 2002, 2008) before the team played its final game there on April 9, 2017. Little Caesars Arena opened that fall, with the Red Wings hosting their first regular-season game on October 5, 2017.
Olympia Stadium and Joe Louis Arena were two separate buildings, not renames of the same one—if your ticket names either, that's a different physical arena from today's Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit Red Wings play home games at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI, USA. Dates for those nights are anchored in Eastern time. The building list above is what Ticket Timeline uses when an older ticket names a former arena.
Use that timeline when dating a night: Olympia Stadium is a former home through 1979; Joe Louis Arena is a separate former home from 1979 to April 2017; and Little Caesars Arena is where the Red Wings play today, since October 2017. Rebuilding Red Wings attendance is usually a scavenger hunt: paper tickets and PDF confirmations, camera-roll scoreboard dates, calendar invites, season-ticket statements, and memory anchors (companions, rivals, life events, arena names on stubs). Work season by season; a partial list of attended games is enough to start matching opponents and arenas. When confirmations live in Gmail, Find Your Games walks through a read-only preview before anything is committed. For a shoebox of stubs, see what to do with old ticket stubs.
Once you've logged Red Wings games you attended, Ticket Timeline surfaces the attendance story—not a live scoreboard. Visited insights can include Olympia Stadium (through 1979), Joe Louis Arena (1979–2017), and Little Caesars Arena (2017–present).

If your stub says Joe Louis Arena, that's a night from 1979 to April 2017—maybe even one of the four Stanley Cup championship runs "the Joe" hosted in 1997, 1998, 2002, or 2008. If it says Olympia Stadium, it's older still. Either way, it's a different building from today's Little Caesars Arena, not an earlier name for it—the names help place exactly which arena you were in.
